Fear of Failure

To what extent do we unnecessarily paralyze ourselves? It is positively ridiculous that I would rather do nothing at all than do something only to find out I was at or below average.

Fuck public education for leading me to believe I had to have straight "A"s just because I could.

Fuck my peers for making me feel that I had to overdo every assignment just because I didn't want to be like them.

Fuck my parents for letting me think that I could never be good enough to make them proud just because they were preoccupied with the kid who was failing every other class.

And shame on me for never changing when I damn well know better.
